DMIC

Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project

Extending across 6 states from Delhi to Mumbai, The Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project (DMIC) is one of the world’s largest infrastructure projects. It encompasses 24 industrial regions, eight smart cities, and two logistical hubs. The project runs along the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, a 1,500 km line which will act as DMIC’s transportation backbone.

DMIC will add impetus to the government’s Make in India initiative. It includes 24 special investment nodes designed to support every type of industry. This will facilitate businesses by helping them to set up units in a short period of time, easing land acquisition and resources, and providing speedy, affordable transportation. Planned to function as a global manufacturing and trading hub, DMIC will significantly boost employment, industrial output, and exports from the region. The project is expected to generate approximately 3 million jobs mainly in the manufacturing sector.

Shendra MIDC – Everything a Business Needs to Flourish

Shendra is a matured industrial city with being a home to industries such as Skoda Auto, NRB, Glenmark, Liebherr, Sterlite, and Cosmo to name a few. MIDC Shendra SEZ and Wockhardt SEZ are two operational SEZs located in Shendra.

MIDC Shendra is part of Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area (SBIA), a key project of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. The Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area (SBIA), has attracted investment of over USD 1 billion.

The new JALNA Dry Port is located 40km from Shendra and has excellent connectivity to Navashiva Port. Samruddhi Mahamarg is one of the most prestigious projects of the state government sharing the boundary with Shendra. This expressway is access controlled and will provide high speed connectivity to Mumbai (DMIC) and Nagpur (NHIC).
